Overview
About Me
I’m Zubair, a software engineer from Indore. I enjoy meeting people who think deeply about life and aren’t afraid of real conversations.
I’m calm by nature, observant, and curious about how people live, think, and build their lives. I like exploring cities beyond tourist checklists—local food spots, quiet corners, everyday routines, and stories that don’t show up on Instagram.
Books play a big role in shaping how I think. The Richest Man in Babylon influenced my views on discipline, responsibility, and long-term thinking. I enjoy discussions around philosophy, startups, faith, technology, and life struggles—especially when conversations are honest and grounded.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing to experience places through people, not just locations. I believe real understanding comes from conversations, shared routines, and seeing everyday life from a local perspective.
For me, Couchsurfing is about cultural exchange—learning how others think, live, and build their values, while sharing my own experiences, skills, and stories in return. Even short stays can leave a lasting impression when there’s mutual respect and curiosity.
I’m here for meaningful connections, not free accommodation.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
I enjoy soulful ghazals like “Unko Bhi Humse Mohabbat Ho, Zaroori Toh Nahi” and “Dil Lagi Dil Ki Lagi” when I want something calm and reflective. At the same time, I’m not stuck in one mood—I enjoy energetic party songs as well, especially while traveling or socializing.
Movies & Shows
I like a mix of genres. Action franchises like Mission: Impossible for their pace and discipline, historical films for their context and storytelling, and series like Game of Thrones for complex characters, power dynamics, and long-form storytelling.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One memorable experience was spending an entire night on a forest safari with a close friend. We followed strict safety rules, respected the environment, and learned how patience and awareness matter more than excitement. Being in complete darkness, listening instead of talking, made me more observant and calm—qualities that also shape how I interact with people and shared spaces.
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe in learning through exchange. I’m always happy to share my knowledge of technology, whether it’s basic programming concepts, software tools, or helping someone understand how tech is used in everyday life.
I also enjoy learning from others—different cultures, routines, and ways of thinking. If time allows, I like sharing simple home-style cooking and learning local recipes in return. For me, these small exchanges create the most meaningful connections.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share meaningful conversations, a calm and respectful presence, and genuine curiosity about different ways of life. I enjoy listening as much as talking.
From a practical side, I’m happy to share my technology knowledge—whether it’s helping with basic software, explaining tech concepts, or exchanging ideas around startups and digital tools.
I also enjoy simple home-style cooking and would be glad to cook or learn a local recipe together if time allows. Most importantly, I value mutual respect, cleanliness, and privacy, and I try to leave shared spaces better than I found them.
