I think it's a great idea to be able to make friends all around the world and to discover and to try local life as it is, without being sticked to package tours, schedules and other boring things.
I heard about it and thought it could help me as I'm self-funded and as I said before I want to travel abroad but it will be kind of expensive for me and too much that I can't afford, like the accommodation and food, that's why when I knew about Couchsurfing I immediately checked it out.
