I live in Beirut where I work as news anchor and senior news editor in “Palestine Today”, one of the most leading Palestinian TV channels. I kicked off my career nearly a decade ago and during these years I worked with different and various media outlets.

Since I was based in Gaza Strip I have covered historical events such as the humanitarian implications of Gaza continuous blockade and three devastating wars in 2009, 2012 and 2014. I have produced hundreds of TV and newspaper reports. In 2014 I was the editor in chief of Watania Media Agency, one of the most successful media start ups which has been a main source and an accredited media services provider for international media outlets covering the war against Gaza.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My colleague and I are coming to NYC on 6 November to participate in the UN Department of Public Information Training Programme for Palestinian Journalists.
