About Me

Hi there!

My name is Mo, I was raised and studied in the United States but have had the opportunity to visit several different countries. I consider myself a food traveler (experiencing different cuisines) and have a great appreciation for ancient history and hearing/sharing stories from other travellers. I worked for an international association for youth in Paris but currently I am living in my hometown of Denver, CO

I grew up near mountains and thus it is my favorite backdrop in any environment but I'm not partial towards cold weather or snow.

So when someone asks mountains or beach - my response: is it too much to have both?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking to interact with new people and locals during my travels and build an international network. I believe in the original principles of CouchSurfing are important - this website is not a "free" alternative to AirBnB, but instead a platform to really open yourself and your story to an individual who has been gracious enough to host you as a guest (practically family) in their home. It is a principle of connection and giving back with your life experience and form bonds with unique individuals all over the world.

This is the value of a genuine CouchSurfing experience and it is priceless.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Movie: The Shawshank Redemption, LOTR Trilogy, Leon the Professional

Favorite Books: The Great Gatsby, 1984 by George Orwell, Crime & Punishment by Dostoevsky. I am big fan of Russian Literature in general but more recently have been drawn to more books on non-fiction and entrepreneurship. I find it hard to walk into a bookstore without buying SOMETHING and more often than note has resulted in my pockets being a lot lighter in cash ;)
