Overview
About Me
This is Mohammed, from Rawandiz — once the capital of a great regional government back in the 1800s.
These days, I’m based in Erbil, living in a small, cozy house I turned into a home entirely by myself (with plenty of love and maybe too much coffee).
I’m a travel enthusiast, though being a doctor — and a self-proclaimed nerd — means I can’t always be on the road. When I’m not working, you’ll find me reading (75% medical textbooks, 25% everything else), or singing in multiple languages — English, Kurdish, Turkish, Arabic, Persian, and Hindi. People say my vocals are good, but I’ll let you be the judge.
I’m open-minded, respectful of boundaries and different perspectives, and always up for new experiences. Calm by nature, fueled by caffeine, and apparently funny — according to my friends (though they might just be laughing at me). 🥲😂
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe travel is more about people than places. Meeting locals, hearing their stories, and sharing mine.
I’ve only recently settled into my cozy little home in Erbil, so I haven’t hosted anyone yet. But I’m here to start building those connections — whether by hosting in the near future, meeting for coffee, or showing you around my city.
As a doctor, my schedule doesn’t always allow for much travel, so Couchsurfing brings the world to my door.

Music, Movies, and Books
Am a Melomaniac guy, more into jazz musics. I do listen to Arabic, Turkish, English and Kurdish songs. Occasionally Italian!
Movies? Not so good in memorizing movie names but I am more into Action, Adventurous and sometimes Romantic movies.
More into poetry books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As a 3rd-year medical student, I saved a little girl’s life in the ER with a simple maneuver — just moments before she was about to collapse, while others thought she was fine. Right place, right time… and the right instinct.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can show you how to make different types of coffee (from classic brews to café-level creations) and share some of my favorite cooking recipes.
Learn: I’d love to learn guitar(I’m sure I’ll never😂) and meditation techniques.
Share: I share clinical knowledge, love, and plenty of funny stories — and I tend to overshare bits of my life too 😂.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Expect good coffee, warm conversations, and maybe even a song in one of the six languages I sing in. And yes… I am actually saving lives — so you’re in safe hands.
