ABOUT ME

"If all are right, I'll take a left..."

Hi! This phrase discribes me in a line. I am a young legal practitioner and energy consultant. I'm an ambitious, curious and practical person who has an insane passion for traveling as I feel its the real education. I love nature, particularly Mountains and Mammals. I am a strict Vegetarian.

People say I am a typical Capricorn and I do believe them partially :)

On the basis of my CS experiences and observations, I would like to share some STRANGE FACTS ABOUT INDIA/INDIANS:

- Same sex people who hold their hands are not homosexuals.
- If a person nods his head from left to right, he might indicate that he agrees. This is a typical Indian YES!
- The game of Cricket is considered as a religion in India, so do not criticize or ridicule it. The God of Cricket is known as Sachin Tendulkar.
- Street Children/ Beggars consider foreign tourists as rich people so they will always run behind you.
- Indians have a bad habit of staring and it appears that they are angry, but that's not the case. They are just curious...
- Public Toilets in India are probably the worst among developing countries. So don't expect much when you travel by Bus here.
- Sex Education for most Indians is from Pornography. So don't be surprised if you are looked upon as a Porn Star by the street men in smaller cities when you are under dressed (as per Average Indian Standards) :P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting: I am very selected in Hosting at the moment for various reasons. Though I meet people and suggest activities and help them with their travel plans.

Surfing: I usually spend time reading profiles to find a host that I will get along with. When I travel, I prefer the non-touristic places and try to explore one place rather than cover many places at a time.

Groups: I join the groups related to my interests and the places that I usually plan to visit, to get advice and give suggestions.

Whatever the case, I try to keep in touch with the people I meet because till now it has been a wonderful experience for me.

Interests

Make plans to travel to my list of destinations, Photography, Do something to Save Snow Leopards and Tigers, learning about Evolution-Life-Self, Observing random people, Help strangers, Internet, Human Psychology, Leg-Pulling, Law, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES- All genre except Comic Animations (I still donno why). Logical/theory based movies/documentaries [Zeitzeist, The Union]. Sci-fi and war (Both modern and historical) movies. My Hollywood favorites wud include Gladiator, Ring, Apocalypto, The Girl Next Door, Hangover, The Patriot, A walk to Remember, Jurassic Park, Bourne Series, Dark Knight, Avatar, Oxford Murders, A few good Men, and a lot many...I love the Bollywood movies like Dil Chahta Hain, Delly Belly, Jab we met, Swades, Lagaan, Ghulam, Hathi mere saathi, etc.

MUSIC - Psy Trance/House Music, Punk/Alternative Rock, Sufi Songs and of course Bollywood Top of the Charts..

BOOKS - I usually carry a book only when I am traveling. From childhood I hated Books and I am still trying very hard to develop a taste for them. These days just confined to Law Books coz they are sooo many!

#Paranormal Activity in a distant relative [Spirits entering humans and something like that which is depicted in movies like Exorcist, Exorcism of Emily Rose, etc.]
# ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 Final at Wankhade Stadium, Mumbai where History was re-written as Team India emerged the winners after 28 long years!
# The Mumbai terrorist Attack [26/11/2008]. Though this was not an amazing event but it was thrilling at that point of time, being surrounded by world media, soldiers, police and terrorists. Though I condemn all the dastardly inconsequential acts of terrorism!
