About Me
Hi hi! I'm Clarence, a student in Seoul. I'm studying International Relations and Political Sciences at Seoul National University with a minor in Anthropology as well. I love music, film, travelling and some alcohol cos why not! I've been to quite many places on this globe which is still never enough yet for sure and always hope to meet you sometime somewhere, who knows ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of my favourite memories on this planet was when I stayed with a Brazilian family in Uberlandia, MG, Brazil for like 6 weeks in Jan-Feb 2014. I was kinda worried when I was first heading to Brazil because at that time the only portuguese words I knew was how to say hi and thanks (and 1 cuss word that I learnt at the airport lol) and after almost 24 hours of flight I was already tired enough. But amazingly I could definitely feel being like a real family member even though I didn't even know how to say "I want pizza for dinner tonight" (we all know it's essential for living right?) in portuguese! Sure I do still keep in touch with my lovely familia brasileira, and from that time I've had this faith that there's something much more than just merely staying at one's place - it's not simply for the itinerary but for the relationships. Well, that's really what I expect from and why I'm on Couchsurfing - I'm always hoping to meet you guys and share the unforgettable memories! And yes I will anyhow learn how to say at least one cuss word in your language! (Trust, I'm good at it.)

Music, Movies, and Books
Ohhhh shiiiiiieeet, kay, so I'm a huge fan of any music which are good but less widely known, regardless of its genre; from jazz, rock, folk, EDM, Bossa Nova to opera - any kind! I do post some random and several songs from Youtube on my blog - Amy Winehouse, Feist, Jaurim and Lhasa de Sela are on my hall of fame of some sort. HTDW, Sunwoo Jung-a, Sia, Tom Misch, Raquel Rodriguez are some I could name for now! I love wandering around Youtube and soundcloud in hunt for a good shit. Oh and I'm always open to a new ethnic and traditional genres as well, lately I'm digging for fado portugues.
I'm also a big lover for some good films. I'd gladly give a five star to: "Frances Ha", "Only lovers left alive", "The grand Budapest hotel", "Bagdad Cafe", "Mommy" and much more. Xavier Dolan is a cutepie. Tilda Swinton is the mother earth. and also my spirit animal.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I watched a video of Iggy Azalea doing her free style rap (which starts with something like "Fire monks! Fire monks!"). I never regret. (The best part was "datcher patcher faster katcher" and "winna winnit a winna win", fyi)
