About Me
CURRENT MISSION
teaching and learning, or vice-versa
ABOUT ME
I am a history grad, but currently more distracted by dreams of travel and adventure.
I used to work at Browsers Bookshop on Victoria street, the coolest secondhand bookshop in NZ. Be sure to check in if you're passing through Hamilton, NZ.
Currently in Saigon, working as an English teacher.
PHILOSOPHY
Easy going sums me up. I get along with most people, and enjoy helping others as much as I can.
I can be a hermit at times, so don't be offended if I decline an invitation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I first used CS to good effect to meet people while I traveled in Vietnam. It makes for a much better experience.
I'm unable to offer a place to stay, but I'm happy to take you off the beaten track a little, so sample the food and drink available in my little alleyway in Saigon.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I've had no need for a couch to sleep, but I've enjoyed meeting people for coffee. Every meeting has been a positive experience, and I'm sure some will be lasting friendships.
Interests
Literature, film and music... more as a critic than a creator. I like going to see live bands around town.
Bookstores... for me the best place to spend some time.
Travel, hiking.
History, museums.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a wide range of music. Reggae, Jamaican Ska, and Jazz are fairy constant favorites, but as time goes on my tastes grow more and more eclectic.
For books, I was once a heavy reader of beat generation and similar existential/down and out/underground literature. Again, eclectic tastes.
Countries I’ve Visited
Japan, United States, Viet Nam
Countries I’ve Lived In
Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Viet Nam
