About Me

'There are no strangers in the world, only friends we have not met yet. '

I love the outdoors, walking and biking as much as I can, particularly when it is sunny. I also go hiking whenever possible. I sing and am resident choreographer with the Vancouver Men's Chorus. I dabble in the visual arts, sew a little, play volleyball, travel as much as I can, and like music, television, movies, drag, spirituality, and hanging out with my friends with whom I tend to spend tons of time laughing non-stop. I love meeting fun, funny, interesting, and kind people who have a great sense of humour and also really love making good friends.

I am originally from the Philippines, moved to San Francisco in 1999, then to Vancouver in 2006; I have visited several countries and want to visit more! I have been involved in social services all my adult life, particularly in the field of trauma as a psychotherapist. I continue to do this work here in Vancouver. I was also Faculty at the University of British Columbia at some point.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people, show them the Vancouver I love, share experiences, and make good friends.

I am here to make connections, see if friendships can be made, learn more about life, other people, the world.
I am not here to be a hostel.
Copy and paste/impersonal request = no.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love books and movies on spirituality, critical history, how people and nature function, mental health, social realities, and powerful human experiences. I adore ones that make me laugh or shake me to my core.
