ABOUT ME

I am originally from the UK but spent much of my life in Indiana. After college I moved to a kibbutz in northern Israel and got drafted into the army.

Back in Bloomington I loved to cycle. I was doing between 100-200 miles a week. I also to hike, climb trees and read books.

PHILOSOPHY

When I was young I wanted to be the Green lantern, so when I grew up my job would be to save the world and fly through space. I still haven't quite grownup and as such my aspirations are still just as high.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I have couch surfed with a friend in Istanbul and by myself in Amsterdam. Both times were great experiences. I'm willing and ready to host anyone who's cool.

I have also hosted random Germans in Jerusalem and a Portuguese family in Tel-Aviv

I like to read books, cycle, drink whiskey and learn about other cultures and stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read and trade books with people when I travel. I perfer modern and contemporary literature to the classics. I feel, as an English major, I'm required to appreciate the classics as opposed to enjoying them. I do read a lot of short stories. Here's a rough list of some of my favorite writers and/or authors that I plan on reading more of; David Mitchell, Nabokov, Denis Johnson, Miranda July, Roddy Doyle, Amos Oz, Philip Roth, Etgar Keret, Tom Robbins, Moshin Hamid, Jonathan Coe, Kurt Vonnegut, Guy de Maupassant and Laura Moore.

Umm.. I watch Netflix and the news
I like movies, especially zombies and old horror movies.
