Overview
About Me
A part of me is a master's student passionate about physics research, coding, and uncovering the mysteries of the universe. I'm also deeply fascinated by AI. But there's another side to me—I love socializing, making friends, and have a strong desire to see the world. For much of my life, I was rooted in India, but over the last two years, I've worked hard to change that. I've been fortunate enough to secure funded international research opportunities that have taken me around the globe, letting me combine work and travel. As a theoretical physicist, I have the freedom to work remotely, so I don't need to be in a lab every day, allowing me to explore the cities and towns where I stay.
At the moment, I'm based in Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany, working at Regensburg University. In my downtime, I enjoy watching movies, sitcoms, TV series, anime, and cartoons, or simply going for a bike ride. I also used to draw portraits, but it's been a while now. I'm very interested in learning about people from different cultures and love exploring new ways of life. I'm the kind of person who prefers deep one-on-one conversations over group outings to bars or pubs. I also have a growing interest in learning languages, though I prefer to pick them up naturally—by watching cartoons or listening to music—rather than through formal courses. My goal is to learn as many languages as possible in the coming years and visit as many countries as I can. Living in Regensburg has been enjoyable, but now I’m eager to explore more of Germany and meet new people along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A friend of mine recently introduced me to this platform, and she shared some of her fun and memorable experiences using it. It makes sense—living with locals is truly the best way to immerse yourself in a culture. It's not just about what a city looks like from the outside; you can't really say you've experienced or understood a place until you've connected with the people who call it home. Believe it or not, even the local cuisine tastes different when it's shared by someone from the community—because it's not just about the food, but the culture and stories behind it.
From my perspective, every individual has something unique and magical to offer—experiences and insights that are entirely their own. I'm really excited about the possibility that couch surfing could help me meet some incredible people along the way.
Once I settle down and have my own place, I'd love to host as well!

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Honestly, I haven’t really read any books outside of what was required for my courses (nerd alert, I know!).
Movies: Now, movies are a whole different story! I’m a huge movie nerd and love all genres—whether it's a classic, comedy, rom-com, animation, horror, psychological thriller, you name it, I've probably seen it. Some of my favorites include Serendipity, Maleficent, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Looper, Truth or Dare, the Conjuring series, Saw, Shutter Island, Final Destination, almost all the Marvel movies, Mary Poppins, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Harry Potter... I could go on forever! There are still so many I haven’t watched though, so I’m always open to recommendations.
Music: I mostly listen to pop in English, German, and French. I enjoy almost all kinds of music (except metal and rap). Some of my favorite artists include Cœur de pirate, Grace VanderWaal, Pomme, Alice et Moi, Lotte, Zaz, Angèle, Lenka, PUBLIC, Wilhelmine, Tove Lo, and of course, popular ones like Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, One Direction, Sia, Avril Lavigne, Dua Lipa, Anne-Marie, and more!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One??? I've had the chance to do a lot of amazing things! But if I had to pick one, I'd say visiting NASA was a highlight, even though it was just for two months. 😅
Another unforgettable experience was when a friend gave me a ride in a Cessna Skyhawk. We flew for a couple of hours, and I even got to see the Hollywood sign from up in the air—it was such a surreal moment!
Teach, Learn, Share
One cool thing I can teach you is how to remember long numbers or sequences of digits! It's a technique called the mind palace (if you're a Sherlock Holmes fan, you’ve probably heard of it). As part of a bet, I once memorized 100 digits of π in under 20 minutes—and yes, I won, of course! 😄 I can also share tips on learning languages or coding if you're interested. Oh, and I recently taught myself how to swim, so I can definitely offer some advice on that too—or at least show you how to back float in a couple of days!
As for me, I’m open to learning pretty much any skill you can teach. Always excited to pick up something new!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can help with cleaning or cooking (though I’m not much of a chef, I'll do my best! Just maybe don’t leave me unsupervised in the kitchen, haha). I’d also love to share stories about the places I’ve visited. If you’re into board games, we could play together too!
If you have any issues with your laptop or PC, I’ll do my best to fix them. And if you’re hunting for a movie or show in any language, I’ve got some pretty good online-finding skills. Overall, I just enjoy being helpful, so I always try my best to pitch in where I can.
I can also bring some wine or beer if you like.
