Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel, make new friends, find a new "home" away from home...
ABOUT ME
Wanderlust moves me.
It's hard to stay put one place too long.
You'll find me exploring far and wide and I'm always game to try something new.
I've lived all over: New York, Newport Beach CA, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Kentucky, Texas, New York, Chicago, Cuernavaca, Paris and Bermuda.
I travel even more places than that & strongly want to volunteer to help others.
PHILOSOPHY
Tomorrow is a new day...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I build networks of friendly communities. Reaching out to CSers when I travel around the world. And meeting new CSers that come my way. It's fascinating connecting with new people demonstrating how small our world can be.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Global quilting...new patches keep on coming:
I have met incredible CSers socially in India, Dublin, Bali and really enjoyed it.
I travel a lot and am going back to Bali, Singapore and Japan and spent a lot of time last year exploring Brazil (amazing!)
Interests
Travel, volunteer work (I've volunteered building houses in Botswana, Bolivia, Mexico, Romania, Cambodia, Bali and India), I will try anything at least once. Including wearing wild costumes at Burning Man (www.burningman.com) and to relax I surf, kiteboard (new passion but still a lot to learn) golf, snowboard, play tennis, boat, wakeboard, drink too much wine, make up new words for Scrabble, running (one marathon at a time).

Music, Movies, and Books
TRUE ROMANCE - I can watch that one more than once. Just saw new flick JUNO - fun tidbit is that it's based in Minnesota (my home) and nope - it's no FARGO. Finding hidden gems of new music, and enjoy Lenny Kravitz. Locally listening to the Brooklyn boys of MGMT and LCD soundsystem right now - how do their voices go so high? Â Old faves are Death Cab for Cutie and Moby. New stuff includes Mumford and Sons, Young the Giant and The Naked and Famous. Â Love reading, yet too little time. Â I like Jonathan Safran Foer and am not sure how his book will translate to film. Â Nice to find new inspiration to live by.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
www.BurningMan.com - Eye opening. Really.
Traveling to far & wide places to volunteer and give back to those in need far away from home.
Living overseas. I didn't exactly rough it, but I did live for a few years on this gorgeous island of Bermuda. (not too far from home).
Going outside my comfort zone: climbing Mt Rainier and making summit in extreme & difficult conditions.
Teach, Learn, Share
Learn to communicate better (starts by being a good listener), and forget about language barriers. I share...what comes around, goes around & giving is a great gift.
