About Me

I am a 23-year-old living in San Francisco, CA, USA. I am very interested in meeting and learning from new people, and different lifestyles than my own. I am always ready to adventure and try new things. I am also very keen to meet and get to know the people that I stay with.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I spent a couple of months traveling through Europe in the Fall of 2016, and met some awesome hosts through CouchSurfing.
My CouchSurfing experience was incredible. I met some great friends who really helped me integrate into the area. I met so many new people and learned so many things--not only about the places I visited, but about myself as well.
I love CouchSurfing and think it is an excellent way to meet people and learn about the world. I'm looking forward to growing my CouchSurfing network as I continue to embark on travels and host other travelers myself!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to all kinds of music...
My favorite is Indie, but I also like folk and soft rock.
I don't watch a lot of movies, but I enjoy the science fiction and action-adventure genres.
My favorite books are science fiction and non-fiction, and my favorite author is James Rollins.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland was by far the most amazing thing I've ever done. I got to learn how to live and travel completely independently in an environment that pulled me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to explore things I didn't know existed. I got experience backpacking and solo navigating, and I learned some important concepts in crossing cultural boundaries. I'm so thankful for my experience abroad.

Previously, I think the most amazing adventure has been skydividng over the Royal Gorge in Colorado, USA. It was absolutely breathtaking.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think the most amazing thing I've learned during my travels thus far has been some advice I received from a woman in Athens, Greece whom I stayed with while backpacking. She told me to "be respectful of my own learning curve."
It really stuck with me because it helped me to realize that travel (like everything in life) has its ups and its downs. You never really know what is going to happen, and you usually can't control it. That taught me to be easy going and very adaptable in all situations. Now, I feel more prepared and confident in traveling because I am able to adapt to nearly any situation thrown at me. If you look at it the right way, every situation has a positive side.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a positive attitude and friendly personality. I am not a needy traveler, and I don't expect a lot from my hosts. All I'm looking for in a host is good company, interesting stories, and maybe an adventure or two.
