I'm here because the first couchsurfer I met was this guy from Lyon, France who taught me all about l'Université de la Vie (University of Life). His philosophy was on point, and I decided to change my American mindset and my way of life. And since then, well, the rest is history! :) Right now I'm a PhD student at the University of Michigan where I study monkey evolution! I'm a huge travel nerd and always thinking of my next travel opportunity (most of which end up being spontaneous) and meeting new people :) I LOVE photography. I'm an aspiring wildlife photographer, and I go birding a lot! I'm a big ol' nerd, exercising and hiking are a huge part of who I am, and I spend way too much time reading and watching Netflix during the frigid winter months of Michigan.
