I have been working full time out of the office since August 2015. Working remotely has allowed me to not only travel the world, but to stay in one place and experience it beyond the "I've been there" reference.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can never pick just one!

Music--depends on the mood. I like to dance, so anything with a good bass and beat. I like to listen (and sing along with) musicals while I work--heard of Hamilton?!--and when I have an anxiety attack, I like angry, Irish rock. It's nonsensical, and I love it.

Movies--I love old ones, like Casablanca, The Women and Singing in the Rain; fantasy like Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Star Trek, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Harry Potter; rom-coms like Leap Year and Morning Glory. Every year I watch every film nominated by the Academy for Best Picture. There is also a collection of about 10-15 Christmas movies that I watch every December.

Books--I love Harry Potter. I like Hemingway, Faulkner, O'Conner, Rowling, Austen, The Brontes, etc. My favorite book is a tie between Sherwood Anderson's Winesburg, Ohio and JD Salinger's Catcher in the Rye. The older I get, the more I realize how truly brilliant (and about my life) these two books are.
