About Me
I, like many others, have caught the travel bug. I'm addicted! All my life savings have gone towards travel, I've been working since I was 14 including a full time job, and really it's not the cheapest hobby. I finished high school, took a year off, and at 17 I set out into the world with a backpack, a worried mum at home, and an open mind and heart. It was the best decision I've ever made.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet and live like a local in a place I am travelling to, so that I don't arrive, stay, and leave having experienced everything (or, well, nothing extra special) as a tourist. I want to find unknown beauties, the best part of travel is surprise! I love finding things I didn't even know existed when I left, and I think living with locals is the best way to do this.

Music, Movies, and Books
My friends are very confused by my music taste. If (or should I say when) I play my music aloud on shuffle, they get to listen to hard rock, then classical, then jazz, and a little bit of 2004 nostalgia. Basically, I will listen to anything, and have a new favourite song every week.
Anything written by Dan brown will keep me up at night, along with Batavia, Memoirs of a Geisha, and the Jason Bourne series.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A 20 hour, 5000m+ altitude, hike in Ausangate, Peru. It was the most challenging, and rewarding, experience of my life. I learnt just how strong minded I could be, and how to love my body for how it can support me and get me to some amazing places, despite some self-incriminating "flaws". Yep, a crazy hike helped me to love myself.
Teach, Learn, Share
I absolutely love to learn languages! Especially Spanish, but I am more than willing to learn as many words from as many languages as I can if you're happy to teach me! I've taught English to orphans in Peru, and am excited to teach it to anyone!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Laughter (if you don't like my terrible jokes, you can laugh at me laughing at my own jokes), travel stories (I'll share mine if you share yours!), friendship, and cooking if you're happy for that to support my laughter point...
