About Me

I'm Molly, I am currently a physiotherapy student in Aberdeen, Scotland. I grew up in England and Scotland and also spent a year living in California and Hawaii. I'm a vegetarian and passionate about the outdoors, animals and travelling. If I could spend all my life in a sail boat I would.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and share experiences! I always say I have left parts of me all over the world - I have so many connections around the world and I would love to make more links with interesting people. I'm currently travelling around the US after spending the summer working at a summer camp in Rhode Island. I'm looking for places to stay on the west coast in California and Nevada to visit national parks to go hiking, visit some cities and generally make some great memories.

Interests

SAILING - I would love to meet any fellow sailors and share stories and experiences. Also horse riding, running, cooking. I'm as equally up for a crazy night out as a chill night in sharing stories and playing board games!

Music, Movies, and Books

My music tastes are wide - I love live folk music as much as I love some retro soul. Some favourite artists include David Gray (saw him live and cried throughout), Johnny Flynn, James Taylor, Hozier, the Kinks, The Jam, Joni Mitchell and anything with a great groove.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2013 I circumnavigated Ireland on a 72ft racing yacht as part of a leadership development programme for the charity Ocean Youth Trust Scotland. It took two weeks and I saw some amazing scenery, it was a life changing experience. I have also spent the summer teaching sailing at a summer camp in Rhode Island - beautiful days on the water all day and the life jacket tan to prove it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My sailing experience, my cooking expertise, cool facts about animals. I would also love to share information about Scotland as it is a beautiful country with much to offer. I can also give the odd bit of physio advice here and there..
