About Me
I'm finishing up my last year as a university student at Lewis and Clark College in Portland Oregon. I'm a Buddhist Studies major and a Gender Studies minor with a passion for travel. I've had some unique opportunities to travel through my academic career. I've spent a semester abroad in Hanoi Vietnam and another in Sevilla, where I stayed afterwards to work for the summer in Madrid and traveled a bit through Spain. I'm an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher in addition to a student. I love interacting with people from different cultures and countries. I feel that cross-cultural-connections are the most productive way to learn both about yourself and others.

Music, Movies, and Books
I LOVE Bob Dylan and his comrades from the folk music revolution, like Joan Baez and Pete Seeger.
Books... too many books are my favorite. The Hobbit, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Argonauts, Daughter of Earth, Bread Givers, 1984, Don't Let's Go to the Dogs Tonight... just to name a few!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I swam naked off the coast of Hoi An, Vietnam!
I scuba dived with sharks (yes little baby sharks but sharks!) on Santa Catalina Island in California!
I made the decision to be a citizen of the world!!!
Teach, Learn, Share
As a trained ESL teacher and tutor I can help anyone with English grammar and conversational skills. I'd also love the opportunity to learn languages from others!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my energy with my hosts! My enthusiasm for learning. My excitement for adventures and new places. My independence. My vegetarian cooking skills. My excellent listening skills... My hopes and dreams for a smaller, more connected world of global citizens!
