About Me
ABOUT ME
I love bouncy balls and games. I'm very goofy, spontaneous, open minded have a terrible time focusing and constantly am moving from one subject/activity/discussion to another. People amuse me. Nature arouses me. Love and peace make the world go round.
PHILOSOPHY
A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to it's old dimensions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's too much fun not to meet and host new people in a city you love.
Interests
I love playing and watching sports... specifically soccer, basketball and tennis. I love imagining and creating games. My favorite board game is Settlers of Catan, and I'm always willing to participate or create a new game. I love being outside, camping, hiking and the scent of the ground after it rains. I'm open to many things, as long as they are engaging, mind opening and fun!

Music, Movies, and Books
It's really hard for me to say anything is my favorite... I enjoy most things for it's time and place in my life. I'll try my best to put the movies/musics/books that interest me... but they are ALL over the place (similar to my mind!).
Movies: Forrest Gump, Ferngully, The Wizard of Oz, The Lord of the Rings.
Music: Al Green, Alabama Shakes, Alanis Morissette, Amadou & Mariam, Beyonce, The Beatles, Billy Preston, Cee Lo Green, Feist, Jack White, Wyclef Jean, Mavis Staples, Wilco, Nina Simone, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Regina Specter
Books: 1984, A New Earth, Cat's Cradle, Siddhartha, Harry Potter(s), The Tao of Pooh, Kite Runner, Walter the Farting Dog.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last night I saw the most beautifully clear, bright pink full moon over the Chicago Sky line... it came at a time when I was craving nature and somewhat sick of the hustle, bustle and everything else (un-naturey) that accompanies the city.
Last week, I went to visit my friend in Detroit who volunteers at several shelters across the city. Everywhere we went, we ran into someone from the shelter. What surprised me most was his ability to connect with the people, remember each of their stories and serve his community. His servitude towards others inspired me to become a more active member in my community and the communities around me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can attempt to teach you how to beat box in a very peculiar way.
Spiders live in every continent except Antarctica. In 1973 SkyLab wanted to know if spiders could spin webs in near-weightlessness, so they brought them on a space mission. Low and behold, they spun their little webs despite zero-gravity! Go spiders. I love spiders.
