ABOUT ME

I'm back in DC! I spent a number of years as an ex-pat and traveling the states, but I am currently rocking out the great city of Washington. I work on clean energy/ global warming issues at the moment, although I spend election years traveling the country on political campaigns. I love cooking, making and listening to music, tea and good conversations, learning about any and everything new, passionate people, and getting lost in new places. I am obsessed with politics.

I love it. Couchsurfers keep life interesting wherever you are. When I have a place to live, I do my best to give other travelers what many hosts have given me- a home away from home.

Movies- waking ned divine, little miss sunshine, anything quirky and intelligent... music- charles mingus, tegan and sarah, feist, tom waits, latin, jazz, almost anything live, and far too many others to list. Books- I'm currently obsessed with Shantaram, but there are far too many.

Biking to the crater lake near lake Naivasha in Kenya and seeing all of the giraffes, zebras, antelope, and finally the tiny flamingo fringed lake itself... amazing.

I'm happy to help folks practice English, or bake, or make a giraffe out of clay, or any other random and semi useful skill I may have. I am learning the guitar, so I love lessons, and I always am looking to practice my Spanish.
