ABOUT ME
I was raised in an open environment, seeing and knowing a diverse collection of people. I strive to open my heart to everything and everyone. The bigger it gets the bigger it gets.
I'm a nanny now but have been a Montessori teacher, massage therapist, assistant midwife, wedding florist, landscaper, and worked the circulation desk at the Physics, Math and Astronomy library at the University of Texas-Austin.
PHILOSOPHY
We have a great deal of power over our experience; it lies in the choices we make about how to respond to what's going on around us. I aim for inner freedom and find that it materializes in my outer world.
Things we do and say have an impact on the world beyond our understanding. Pay Attention.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In the past, I've done some hosting and I miss it. Not able to host now due to my little apartment. I've done a little surfing and have loved it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted quite a few lovely people in Austin and have stayed with people in Paris, France; Antigua, Guatemala; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Portland, Oregon. All good experiences, and even some new friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was the very first person to touch a baby as it was being born. That may even rival traveling in India as a 10 year old.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you stay here I can teach you how to knit and/or make migas, and, as proven by previous surfers, give you a spotty account of American history.
I have learned a great deal from fellow travelers and am so pleased to know that each person I meet has gifts of knowledge, skills and heart. Make a bed and learn about life. Such a deal!
