ABOUT ME

I'm an awfully excitable person who loves to be in motion. I've been moving around quite a bit in the last few years, working as a commercial videographer and dabbling in audio production and photography as well.

These days I'm finishing up my coursework for an MFA in poetry and teaching creative writing to undergraduates. I'm hoping to move to New York City this summer.

I'm always up for meeting new people, trying new foods, going new places. I don't mind embarrassing myself, and I absolutely love to dance.

PHILOSOPHY

Kurt Vonnegut says it pretty well in this quote from "God Bless You Mr. Rosewater":

"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies — God damn it, you've got to be kind."

I've surfed a little in the U.S. and Europe and hosted a few times. I'm game to do more of both!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though I'm relatively new to CS, my experiences surfing and going to meetups have been wonderful so far. Overall, I'm keen to meet new people and see new places.
