ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Molly Hanmer. I am twenty-two years young with an old soul. Some things I love include music, drawing, cooking, hiking, reading, and of course traveling. I am a professional musician (guitar, singing, harmonica, song writing), recently departed from San Francisco where I have lived for the past four years. I'm looking to either establish myself in Los Angeles or Austin, TX.

I traveled to Europe in 2010 after high school, and just returned from traveling in mostly Ireland for 2 months. It was breathtakingly beautiful; they don't call it the Emerald Isle for nothing! Sight-seeing is wonderful, but what I love most about traveling is getting a glimpse of different lifestyles and perspectives. I love the concept of couch surfing for this reason, because it involves enthusiasm of both the traveler and the host in bringing people together independent of monetary motivation. Traveling can be frightening. The world can be frightening. But friendships make facing those obstacles just a little smaller.

PHILOSOPHY

I have no idea why I live my life or if I even have a personal philosophy. But I do know that our time is limited, so I want to make the best of every moment and savor the experience of being a living, breathing, feeling human.

I unfortunately don't have a couch to offer, so I will just be surfing as of now. But when I do I'll be happy to pay it forward!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed for the first time this year while hitching in Ireland, the Netherlands, and Belgium. It was wonderfully inspiring. I can't convey how touched I was by the generosity of strangers, and I look forward to the day when I can extend a helping hand.
