CURRENT MISSION
Embrace a time of Transience. Practice and share Mindfulness and Sustainability as a means to creating lasting peace for all of existence.
ABOUT US
Robert and Molly Jo are lovers of this fascinating world. We love exploring it and learning how better to protect and steward this phenomenal planet we call come.
We love plants, animals, good music, good literature, good food and good folk. We will do just about anything to help benefit these things we love. We buy little and buy local.
We hope to leave a mark that influences those we meet to love the earth in its entirety and treat it with respect and compassion.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Robert and I are casualties of the development/gentrification crises in Denver (and all along the Front Range). The homestead where we have been living and growing medicine and food for the past three years has been sold by our landlords to developers. We are moving into a van that we have equipped with a sleeping area and an outdoor kitchen extension; we hope to find a place to park and rest (maybe share a bathroom/shower/kitchen every now and then?) while Robert finishes school.

Music, Movies, and Books
We like music that makes us move and groove, and music that makes us think and grow. The style doesn't matter; we are in awe of pretty much everybody that puts their heart and soul into the world through music.
Some favorites of ours:
Jason Isbell; Paul Simon; Shakey Graves; Modest Mouse; Tom Waits; Xavier Rudd; Nina Simone; Mozart; The Beach Boys (Specifically the evolving genius of Brian Wilson that came out in the later years)
Our feelings about books are very similar. We love literature that teaches about the natural world- bird books, plant guides, tracking texts, herbals, and the likes... We love nonfiction stories about people's adventures. Our favorite authors include:
Annie Dillard; Hunter S. Thompson; Jon Krakauer; Maya Angelou; Bill Mollison; James Duke; Rosemary Gladstar; Robin Wall Kimmerer; Scott Jurek; Jack Kornfield
We enjoy heartfelt, honest and poignant documentaries and movies that inspire us. Some of our favorite include:
Shawshank Redemption
Captain Fantastic
I Heart Huckabees
Love & Mercy
American Meat
Numen: The Nature of Plants
and anything by Wes Anderson
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2017 Robert and I ran the Deadhorse Ultra in Moab, Utah together.
50 miles of incredible beauty, discomfort and absolute awe.
Teach, Learn, Share
This community really is incredible. We've learned a lot from our brief involvement in it.
If we could contribute one thing?
Take a deep, mindful breath. Repeat.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Robert and I are stewards of land and body. We are hard workers with a passion for growing, tending and cooking food and medicine. I am an herbalist, yoga and meditation instructor, environmental educator and musician and can am happy to share my teachings. Robert is a skilled craftsman, carpenter and solar installation technician. We would be honored to contribute time, energy and knowledge toward the well being of the land and beings that host us.
