Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i don't have a couch right now (i live in a shared apartment with no living room) but i am planning a trip in the summer and hope to find couches to sleep on then!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i surfed with some wonderful hosts in tokyo and chiba during my trip to japan in june, 2014. it was so great to be able to meet people and connect in a new place, to learned from them and share our experiences.

Interests

i like sewing toys and dresses and odds and ends, and taking photos and writing and drawing things. i am pretty good at growing plants and i love to be outside and be around animals.

i like to go to grocery stores when i travel. i like trains and cats, and peaceful moments.

Music, Movies, and Books

i have been a filmmaker and a student of literature, and i guess you never stop being those things. i like a lot of books and films.

i am really into science fiction, especially on the more literary side. philip k. dick and nabokov are my favorite authors, i think. my preferences are not constant.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

taking a five hour trip on a tiny sailboat out to the farallones islands off the coast of san francisco.

picking up a baby octopus from a tide pool and letting it wiggle across my hand, changing colors as it went.

playing with a baby lamb born yesterday.

growing things! i'm always amazed.

that's more than one thing.

Teach, Learn, Share

i am pretty good at making and fixing things. i can make you a stuffed squid or octopus.

i can teach you how to tie your shoes so they will never come untied until you want them to.
