Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Every couchsurfing experience I've had has been fantastic! My first experiences as a host were tons of fun, because there is very little that I love more than meeting interesting people, feeding them, and showing off my city (Seattle, at the time). Since then, I've been bouncing around too much to host consistently, but have had some wonderful visiting experiences!

Interests

I love being outdoors, hiking, kayaking, backpacking, running, and just lazing around. Also really into knitting, sewing, cooking, & reading. Big fan of Radiolab and This American Life, NYC history (for the moment), and MUSIC!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I grew up in a house without electricity or running water. I have spent time sailing in the Caribbean on a tall ship (SSV Corwith Cramer- C-190). Served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco, and am now living high in NYC.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach knitting, bread-and-treat baking, kayaking, and local history. I would love to learn all about the history and cultures of other countries, especially if there is more cooking and baking involved. Annnnnd of course I can talk about public health for hours, with passion.
