I enjoy the company of good friends, good family, and good drinks. And now I travel. I like to live life simply but experience life widely, and I want to take this moment in life to travel and see the US as much as I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've only surfed, never hosted, and the people I've met along the way have been fantastic. Everyone has been so kind and welcoming - I have been impressed with the level of trust and friendship that seems to develop so quickly with my hosts, and so thankful for the willingness of everyone to show me the best their city has to offer.

I love to read books and watch movies over again - if it's a good enough story, then there's always something more to be found the second time around.

I am currently really into the show How I Met Your Mother. I've gotten multiple other people hooked on it now too.

Movies: Top Gun, Moulin Rouge, The Prestige, Inception, Little Miss Sunshine, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and oh so many more.

Books: I'm a total reading nerd. I've been reading up on older classics lately, and right now I'm on my first Sherlock Holmes story. Some favs: The Life of Pi, East of Eden, Cannery Row, Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood, all the Harry Potters, Pillars of the Earth, just to name a few to start.

Music: Pretty much whatever John in the Morning from KEXP feels like playing is something I'll like to listen to. Cold War Kids, Brett Dennon, My Morning Jacket, Flaming Lips, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Cake, BRMC, Pinback, Passion Pit, Minus the Bear.
