I'm a Malaysian who grew up in Brunei and right now I'm currently doing my bachelor degree in Aachen, Germany. I needed to learn German before that and be proficient with it in order to study in Germany. While doing my language course in Heidelberg for 8 months, I've met people from different countries who also had the same motive as I do in learning German and I was very interested to learn about their different cultures. From this, I realized that I want and need to travel more to different countries to experience their lifestyles. To see and learn new things and also continuing meeting new people. Travelling refreshes my mind and I like to gain new experiences from it. My wanderlust is real! :o I am also a neat and clean person and also easy going :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a great way to meet new people and make new friends and also it saves costs on accommodation. If the host offers to bring me around to good local restaurants or typical places where locals go to, I think it would be a plus and that would be just awesome as I can experience some of the things that locals do. By doing all the touristy things, yes, you'll be able to see the beautiful places that always appear on social media but you wouldn't know the other pretty side that only the locals know of. ;D

Interests

-Travelling, meeting new people and making new friends (duh, that's why I'm on couchsurfing!! :D)
-I love playing Tennis and watching tennis matches of grand slam tournaments. One day I would wanna watch it live in person!
-I am a huge fan of dogs. I have a dog back home in Brunei but not here sadly. I find cats cute too.
-I love food. My favourite cuisines are Malaysian, Thai, Peruvian, Mexican, Korean, Chinese, Japanese- okay I basically like a lot of different food. Let's not start with dessert. It'll be never ending.
-I find learning new languages interesting after learning German. So when i find the chance to learn a new language intensively for 6/8 months again, i'd do it.
-Forró / Salsa dancing.
-Karaoke (although I'm really bad at singing)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love books from Sophie Kinsella and Stephen King! I'm not much of a reader but books from them interest me.
I'm a big fan of horror movies and comedy as well. :))
I listen to a lot of different genres of music. From country to EDM to classical. As long as it has a nice melody to it, I'd listen to it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked. I've seen Mr Bean done it in the movie and I've heard from my friends that they've done it too, my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try when there weren't any buses running from the border of Germany to the train station in Eupen due to a strike. The train station from the bus stop at the border of Germany was about maybe 20 km away. Anyways, it was a fun experience. :P
