CURRENT MISSION

I am starting my life's dream of living in France. I will begin in Northern California, so those of you that hope to visit Europe someday will have a place to stay! I never met a stranger, and am easy to get along with. Looking forward to meeting you!

ABOUT ME

I'm a happy, smart, kind, thoughtful, and easy to get along with person. I have met many fascinating people in my life, and want to meet as many more as I can! I try to live my life bringing the spiritual into the material, with all the complications that entails. I am 57, funny, and loved by many that have known me most of my life, for which I am grateful.

PHILOSOPHY

Now that I'm not working, I am able to do what the gods put in front of me. That gives me great pleasure. My attempt is to leave every person and place the better for my having been there. We create our own joy, and I'm getting pretty good at it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

That depends on the situation. I have spent many years learning how to communicate pleasantly with others, and am getting pretty good at it. I value every person I meet, and learn from each one. The Hawaiian way is all about respect of all people and all things. I love living in accordance with those values. They bring great diversity to my life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't couchsurfed yet, but hope to in the next few weeks. I can't return the favors yet, but when I get to France, that will change. My expectation is that I will get to know some wonderful human beings.

Centres d'intérêt

I love many things. Currently I write books and grants for non-profits. I will be writing a column on animals for the Molokai Dispatch soon to assist the island's Humane Society. I read, make TV, go to cultural events and concerts, hang with the Hawaiians on my little island, and love life.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I love all music. I sang most of my life until recently, and wasn't half bad. As for movies, I enjoy mysteries, comedies, and some dramas, especially historical movies. Books draw me like a moth to a flame whether they are fiction or non-fiction. Learning is a lifelong goal of mine, and books are a great way to learn!

I have had many careers, seen much of the USA as well as living in Japan, Germany, Australia, and several states. I have seen many wonders and many miracles. The most fascinating is the one in front of me at any given moment. People amaze me. Spiritual paths amaze me. This planet and the small kindnesses that happen all over it every day amaze me.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I have much more to learn than I have to teach. Those experiences in my life that have made me a better person I love to share with others. I have had a sort of Forrest Gump life in which I have met some amazing human beings from growing up with astronauts to hanging out backstage with terrific entertainers. I love to learn what others have to teach me.
