About Me
My name is Mona and I am studying International Relief and Disaster Aid in Berlin. I was born and raised in Berlin and I have lived in Norway for some time after I graduated.
I am working in the humanitarian sector and am currently finishing my bachelor degree.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I got a scholarship for traveling Europe by train with Interrail and Schwartzkopff- Stiftung. The aim of my tour through Europe is to find out more about the Balkan and it's history but also the present lifestyle. I can not remember a single lesson in school which taught me about the Yugoslavian War in the 90s. I read about it myself and now I would like to see and feel the region.
I would like to talk to people who simply live in one of those countries. I believe the Balkan still is underrated. I am not feeling like going to Ibiza and chill by the pool.
Hit me up if you want to share stories! In addition, staying at your place would be suuuuper nice.
I want to explore Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and maybe some other countries in Europe.
I think couch surfing is a great way to meet people. I have never done CS before so come on, give me a chance to experience it!
I am hoping to meet people who are interested in all kinds of things. I don't judge, just be yourself and we'll get along.
If you have enough free time I would love to stroll through the city. If you're only free in the evenings we could cook a nice dinner, grab a drink, whatever suits you best. I don't really have a specific plan yet.
