ABOUT ME

I'm a big fan of CS and staying with local people when I'm on the road - I think it's the best way to experience countries and cities. However, traveling is not a huge part of my life right now, as money are tight - so instead I try to "travel through cultures" by hosting couch surfers.

I finished my masters in International Development in 2010 and am now working in a completely different area: music event production - everything from single concerts, tours etc - mostly in Denmark -something I enjoy doing very much as music is as great a passion for me as international development.

I currently live in Madrid, Spain, with my boyfriend, and I am always interested in meeting new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've only hosted and have still to surf others' couches. Next summer I'm heading towards Toronto, where I'll be looking for couches to crash and people to meet. I've traveled with SERVAS which is based on the same principles, and I also did wwoofing (volunteer work at organic farms).

Playing and listening to music, movies, anthropology, international development, learning about other cultures, crafting, books, traveling...

Ooh, and I like cooking and baking too, especially cupcakes!

音乐、电影和书籍

I love music. I love listening to it, playing it, using it for creating different atmospheres. I've been playing the piano for a long time, and a lot of my favorite classical music is for piano. I'm also into jazz, I enjoy most 'world music', I like new electronic stuff, love reggaeton and cumbia, folk as well, old fashioned rock and roll etc.

Movies - Hmm: Magnolia, Quentin Tarantino, Almodovar, good animation (like the Triplettes from Belleville), Control, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Everything is Illuminated etc. TV series: I'm currently addicted to Mad Men!!

Books: Jonathan Safran Foer, Lynda Barry, Gomorra, books on crafting, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, anthropological books, guides on traveling

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I get a kick out of learning new stuff(a real nerd, indeed)and trying - and succeeding in things I didn't think were possible. So: not one, but several things during my lifetime, for sure.

I know how to knit, sew and cross stitch (amazing skills, right?) but I think I might be a lousy teacher, so patience, please! Oh, and I'm really good at playing Sonic the Hedgehoc on my original Sega Mega Drive 2 from the early 90s!! And I'm always on for a challenge!

I'd like to learn more about my own city from new perspectives: I don't know much about architecture, for instance, or where the grafitti in Copenhagen is from and what it means. Also I'm interested in learning to speak (more) Spanish, although I'm terribly shy when trying.
