About Me
I'm a Brazilian 53-year old mother and grandmother, working in US for the Brazilian government since 2012. I live with my 26 year-old daughter and 6-year old grandson in a house, in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia. I work in Washington DC. I live approximately 15 miles from work.I like making new friends, sharing the Brazilian culture. I am very easy going and guests usually feel home when visiting us. I am also interested in learning foreign languages and learning about other countries. As a host, I am helpful, uncomplicated and try to take time to show you my town, you can also have your private time.
As a Surfer: easy going, uncomplicated. I like to share time, but also like to go by myself. I usually travel with my daughter and grandson, so I would love people could host the three of us

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
At the age of 40, I decided it was about time to make an old dream come true. I wanted to live abroad but as a divorced mom of 2 it seemed impossible. So I passed a public tender to work for the Ministry of Foreign Relations which gave me the opportunity to live abroad with my family. That decision was not an easy one as I had to give up a 20-year job at the Brazilian Federal Bank. But it was the best decision I made.
