About Me

My husband Kevin, and I are essentially joined at the hip and do pretty much everything together. We're both social introverts who love to travel, drink wine, pet dogs, and eat a mostly plant-based diet, which helps keep us stay young-ish and healthy. We love learning about and experiencing different cultures and people. We're easygoing, mellow, love good conversations, the ocean, our dogs, and this beautiful life we have. We have three grown children and they're all amazing in their own right. We are semi-retired and have a small real estate and mortgage brokerage together, and in our down time like to work out, read, garden, walk the beach, dance the Argentine Tango and Salsa, and hang out with our dogs. Kevin is an avid reader and conspiracy realist, while I'm more of the intuitive connector who's more interested in the deep, rich, life stuff that makes us human and amazing. I'm a mom at heart and love to listen to and understand other people and their stories. I love gardening, nature, spirituality, and every beautiful thing this world has to offer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a great concept and opportunity to really experience other cultures, get to know good people, and to grow as people having new experiences. Our first experience with Couchsurfing was as hosts, (my review went away bc they're no longer active) and it was a wonderful experience with great people. We hope to have the opportunity to know more of you like this in our travels, and in future hosting experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

We love all music, and prefer documentaries like The Biggest Little Farm, My Octopus Teacher, and others that give insight into nature, and the beauty, hardships and resilience of life. Kevin mostly reads books on Finance, Health and Science, while I prefer books on Eastern Philosophy, Spirituality, Human Relationships, and currently, Spanish magical realism, which is helping greatly with my Spanish language learning.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Kevin's most amazing One Thing is that he saved (and was dragged by) a giant Manta Ray in the Pacific Ocean of Costa Rica. I'm sure he'd like to share the story with you. ;)

My most amazing thing is actually two things: I grew two human beings inside my own body, gave them life, and nurtured and watched them grow into two amazing men.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you stay with us, we can share a clean, comfortable space, nice hospitality, and a relaxed environment with no pressure to hang out if you prefer not to. Just enjoy yourselves and our great weather and beaches!! Our dogs will share their kisses and possibly make demands for belly rubs. We also have a great home gym you're welcome to use while you're with us. I think we often don't really know what we can teach one another, but we do always learn something when we're willing to share a bit of ourselves.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We would love to learn about anything you have to share. Besides seeing the beautiful planet, it is people that make travel so interesting! We can share with you ourselves, our travel and life experiences, and our gratefulness to you for hosting us. Kevin is pretty handy, and I can help with your pets, plants, and garden. We can also give you an Argentine tango dance lesson!
