About Me

I am half Japanese and half Italian. I was born in Japan and grew up in an International community in south India called Auroville. I was living in Rome for the last two years, and now I have been travelling around Asia, in India, Sri Lanka and now I'm in Japan.
I am an artistic and philosophical type of person. I enjoy deep spiritual conversations, and I am particularly interested in conservation, and environmental issues. My goal in life is to do something for the Earth before I die. My vision is that humanity generally takes and consumes without giving anything back, so I would like to try to reverse this flow, even starting with a small step, like planting a tree. I am also rather adventurous. I love trekking in the mountains, especially the Himalayan peaks.
In my free time, I love drawing, reading, cooking, gardening, planting trees, travelling, and taking care of animals.
My favourite places in the world include the Himalayan peaks, Kerala, Kyoto, Rome, Sicily, and of course Auroville, my home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling the world, meeting new people and cultures. I was always surrounded by people from different counties because I lived 16 years in Auroville, a community with people from 50 different countries, and I am looking forward to discovering new cultures.
I have recently returned to Japan, where I was born, and I want to re-discover the culture and see the country from a different perspective, and I think that travelling with Couchsufring may be a good way to do that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 14 years old, to see if I was fit for trekking, I took it as a challenge to walk 70 kilometers in a single go. I walked day and night for 16 hours straight from Auroville to Gingee. From that time I got the confirmation that the mind is a lot stronger than the body. So even when your body is exhausted and aching, if your mind is determined, your body will keep on.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a very curious person, so I am always eager to lear new things from various fields.
I can teach English, Italian, Japanese, French, and also a bit of Tamil and Spanish. And I would love to learn many new languages! If you have any skills you can teach me, I would be very happy to learn.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer a cultural exchange, I love cooking international food including Italian, japanese and indian cuisine, I also enjoy taking care of pets, and gardening.
