Overview
About Me
I'm married to a lovely man named Sean. We've been married since we were 19 years old. We have two feline "children" and often have a houseful of foster pups as well (don't worry, they are always cute snuggly ones, and aren't kept near the guest room). We also have a super amazing roommate named Travis. All three of us love to travel, though have less time for it lately, and often aren't traveling together. I tend to base my trips around around work-related conferences, but that's worked well because they are usually somewhere interesting! Sean works in banking and I work at a nonprofit. In my work, I use theatre and other arts as education to prevent relationship violence among young people. We are both obsessed with Pendleton Heights- our richly historical, eclectic, beautifully diverse downtown neighborhood in Kansas City, MO. KC is the next big thing, and I'm very proud to live here!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think life is for storytelling and walking in another's footsteps as much as possible. This seems like a good way to do those two things.

Music, Movies, and Books
Lots of variety, but here's a few faves:
Music- folk, alternative, bluegrass, old school hip hop, jazz. I pretend to play guitar, love to sing, and was once upon a time talented with woodwinds.
Books- YA dystopian, mysteries, Hatchet, anything Roald Dahl, Harry Potter, inspirational nonfiction.. but I'm usually reading or writing plays.
Movies- O Brother Where Art Thou, documentaries, every Pixar movie, Stand By Me, El Orfanato
Teach, Learn, Share
I like all of those things...
