About Me

You can find me stopping and smelling the roses all around your city. I’m probably listening to a My Favorite Murder episode.

I recently spent a year traveling Asia with my husband Warren (also American). We started in Bali then on to Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Japan, Bali again, Singapore, England, Scotland, and a brief few hours in Iceland.

October 2018-February 2019, we worked in Antarctica, then spent a few weeks in New Zealand before heading back to the US.

We love new cultures and food and drinks and coffee and long walks to anywhere. And animals! I love them all and between us we have had dogs, cats, hamsters, rats, an iguana, a ball python, and lots of fish. Warren even worked at a fish store, building and maintaining giant fish tanks. If you have fish he can help you with them :)

We are liberal about pretty much everything, very LGBTQ+ friendly and down with most “alternative” lifestyle choices (whatever that means, what’s mainstream anyway?). We are skeptics, but not pseudo-science “skeptics” a la anti-vaxxers. We are also not religious, so if you are super religious, it will be a sticking point.

Also, Warren was a chef and butcher for many years, in case you like home-cooked food :) Some of this profile represents him!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mostly to meet people, so we don't drive each other too crazy. Almost ten years ago, I hosted a few times while living in New Orleans. Now I'd like to try out surfing as well!
