ABOUT ME

I am a young woman in search of that nameless thing which can't really be found. There will always be that hunger to explore and turn the next corner or hike over the next hill in search of it.

My favorite travel author is Bill Bryson of A Walk in the Woods fame, if that tells you anything. I love humor!

Prior traveling has included Western Europe, North America, and some places in between. I have learned that sometimes you can never go back, because life is an endlessly changing existence.

I have thus far hosted some folks, but have not surfed myself. It's a goal to change that in 2014!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was young, my family lived near a vineyard in Veitshochheim, Germany. I decided to venture out and encountered the farmer in the midst of smoking his fields of grapes. Since I didn't understand much Deutsch at that point, he patiently explained to me in a simple fashion that it helps them to taste better. He wasn't even mad at me for wandering through his beloved vines. I love the kindness of strangers.
