My name is Monica, I'm from México 🇲🇽 and I actually live in monterrey which is in the north side of the country :) I moved here to study medicine and I'm so happy I finished last year wuuuu!!! Now I'm on my way to become a specialist :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend of mine told me about this site years ago, I started an account cause we were going to Guadalajara, México and we were looking for a place to stay. Carlos, our host, was awesome :)
Then, my career consumed my whole time so I couldn't receive anyone but now, since I just finished, I can receive people at my home and travel :) so...

Since I love meeting new peoplpe and I know sometimes a hotel can be expensive, I think this site is great. I also think it's so much better if you go to another country, going to places which are not quite common, thing you will only get if you know someone who is actually living there. That happened to me when I was in Turkey, my friends took me to beautiful places and my experience was awesome!

Interests

I love talking till late night, drinking coffee or another drink, I don't mind :) I enjoy cold weather so much but I have never experienced real cold weather such as it is in Norway, a friend of mine says that until I am there, I can't say I'm a winter person🤔

I love nature, sightseeing, walking, just sitting there in a coffee shop wstching strangers passing by.

I'm very peaceful and respectful so I expect the same from others :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all types of music but I must confess that mt favourite is metal/rock, such as Dimmu Borgir, Kamelot, Epica, Slipknot, Type O Negative, PoisonBlack and Amon Amarth.
But I also like from Justin Timberlake, Drake, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus 😀

Movies... I'm a terror films fan, but you know what, I also like Disney movies so Im just gonna list some of my favourites below so you can have an idea:
-insidious, it, hellraiser, Dracula, Interview with the Vampire, The Beauty and the Beast, Alice in wonderland, Closer, Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, Pirates of the Caribbean, Carrie, The Little Mermaid, The Neon Demon, John Wick, etc :)

Books, some of my favs are Dracula, Lolita, La casa de los espíritus, wuthering heights Omg I love Heathcliff 🖤

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I survived to an accident I had when I was a child. Fell from 3 mt high, lost conscience, and literally I saw "the light". Then my mom started giving me CPR and I'm here. :)
But yes, I saw the light :O Sometimes I'm scared aboutt it, but dude, I must have an important mission to do since I stayed here :) like traveling the whole world 😍😍🖤🖤

But seriously, I have rescued animals from the streets and I have looked and found a home for them and that's something I'm very proud of and I try to spread this to other people, so I have turned like 4 pr 5 friends of mine into cat lovers, that's something 😊

i can teach you things about Mexico, basic health care i mean, things we all should know :P
I open to learn everything either if its domething from another country such as history or maybe the language. 😍
I can share my house, food and mexican candies with you, actually when iI go abroad, I bring with me typicall mexican stuff so other people can taste The REAL mexican thing you know
