My name is Monica and I am a Canadian studying Law in the UK. I've been in the UK since 2016 and really haven't had time to explore this continent as much as I'd like.
My biggest fear is to live an unexamined, mundane life. I try to counter that by embracing new experiences, and interacting with as many people as I can with an open mind. My favourite conversations are about things I don't know, I love learning from the people around me. I'm in a stage of my life where I'm focused on my self growth and living life to the fullest.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people and experience different cultures through the eyes of a local as it was meant to be experienced. I am new to courchsurfing but I have friends that couchsurf a lot and they always have the greatest stories. Hearing their experiences, it is definitely something I want for my life. I have always wanted to host but as I live in dorms it just isn't currently possible, however I definitely will in the future!

In terms of interests I love anything to do with food and travelling though I guess that doesn't make me particularly unique does it? I am particularly obsessed with watching people cook and experimenting with new kitchen gadgets. I really enjoy going to art galleries and immersive experiences such as the theatre and concerts . Having asian parents I was forced to learn the piano, I proved to be completely talentless but something must have stuck because I have nothing but the greatest fondness for listening to piano and violin music. Im also very interested in politics and current issues.
