Overview
About Me
Hey!
I'm queer, latinx, and recently graduated from college.
I love hanging out, going about, sitting and talking, traveling, taking pictures, meeting people, and making memories. I have a fabulous laugh and an equally fabulous taste in music. I really like bicycles and spicy food.
I don't think books can teach me everything. They can give me conceptual frames with which to view the world, but I don't think I can really understand anything about the world until I see it! And meet people who have lived lives of their own.
I want to learn about people, their cultures, their assumptions about others and habits of life. I so look forward to my future because, even though I do not think I will have money, I think I will be rich in personal strength because I value people and their lives and ideas.
Cheers! I hope we can meet!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd really like to meet people and be helpful to them during their travels, as well as make a few friends along the way ;) In addition, I'd like to make connections with people when I myself travel.
I am unable to host, but I am very willing to meet if you are stopping by in Osaka!
Even if we cannot meet in person, I'd love to answer questions or chat.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am open to all kinds of music, but some of my favorite bands are Sigur Ros, Coldplay, Galileo Galilei, Olafur Arnalds, Fleet Foxes.
Some of my favorite movies include Cloud Atlas, A Thousand Years of Good Prayers, The Visitor, Only Yesterday, Robot and Frank, and Kabluey. I also really enjoy big Hollywood movies like Iron Man.
My all-time favorite book is Light Fell by Evan Fallenberg. It's about a man who discovered he was gay and struggled to keep his family together but faced rejection. Not a happy book, but it was the first that I can say really affected me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was very young, I was in Costa Rica with my family. We went to the peak of a major volcano there but by the time we got there, it was cloudy. I reached the rim of the volcano--in front of me nothing but foggy white, and everything was very quiet. I felt like I had reached the end of the earth.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can bake really well! I know some things about food.
I come from a queer Hispanic immigrant, lower-class background. I can talk about my experiences with poor classes, Hispanic-Americans, immigrants, and lesbian, gay, trans*, and other queer people.
I have an artistic eye for web design and photography.
