I am Monica, officially still a student but since I recently delivered my dissertation I now have the time to travel around, which is exactly what I am doing!

For the next 5 to 6 months (from the end of October 2016), I will be travelling in South America and of course I am interested in meeting locals and other travellers to explore the countries I will visit and occasionally also find hosts to stay with and exchange knowledge (language for example).

音乐、电影和书籍

When it comes to music, I like everything but heavy metal. While I am more into series at the moment (favourites: breaking bad, homeland, house of cards, suits) I still really like Lord of the Rings (maybe because of the scenery?!) and Pirates of the Caribbean. I like adventure, but also love thrillers, psychological thrillers when it comes to reading (currently reading the girl on the train).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Hiking to Laguna 69 (Huaraz, Peru)! Almost didn't do it because of altitude sickness and the travel agent told me it would be too hard for me. It was totally worth ignoring that and it wasn't too hard either, but the view.. Amazing!

I would love to improve my Spanish, not with extensive classes but with just trying by making conversations and hearing what I am doing wrong and how I should say things differently. In return, I can help out with English, or Dutch (for those that are up for a real challenge;))
