About Me

Hi I'm Monica, I love dancing and singing, the art is one of my favorites. I'm a percussionist to and play the drums, the bongos and most percussion instruments. I think taking care of nature is one of the things we have to take in account every day, because I think that's the only way we can preserve our planet or what's left for the coming generations, just by simple things like recycling. I’m a marine biologist doing a volunteering at the sea center in Santa Bárbara California. Im specialized doing research in sharks. I love knowing new people and getting to know new cultures and their costumes because that will make me a better person and so understand the world from the differents parts of the globe, I’m fully vaccinated with the 3 shots of J&J.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's funny how i started here, everythin began when I met a young girl in UK, named Zoe. She was my tour guide for a whole month in 2013, we had an amazing journey with my mom and 21 wonderful kids who travelled with EF "education first" company. She promised to come and visit Peru sometime, and so she did in 2014. My family hosted her here in my house and we showed her how was a peruvian family, peruvian parties and food aswell. We travelled, we had good and bad times together as she became a new member of my family. In between she brought a friend, named Aaron. This funny and boyscout boy was a cook, an archiect, a singer, and artist, everything in one and became part of my family too. He stayed no matter Zoe left, and he lived here for 3 more months. Hosting people has become really nice when you know they are going to bring something special to your life, like stories, recipes, music and all you can imagine. Now im in Santa Bárbara looking for a place to stay for this last week of April I thank you in advance if you are here in California and can host me ☺️please let me know to this US number I’m using now : ‪+1 (805) 568‑8148‬.
