ABOUT ME

I am an energetic open and curious person that is stoked on life. I was born and raised in Idaho with the foothills as my back yard. I played lots of sports including basketball, volleyball, swimming, wrestling and my two favorites soccer and track (the hurdles). My summers were spent camping and going to the coast of southern California with my family. After high school, I went to college at Evergreen in Olympia WA. There I took a program called Evolution in America where we studied Darwins theory, mental evolution, US history and various other theories and schools of thought. I played for the Colleges soccer team and started as a forward throughout the season. From the mystical beauty of the rainforest's in Washington, my love for the outdoors and natural world returned unlike I'd ever known. I was exposed to a whole new way of life and consciousness that awakened me. After the school year ended, my friend and I hitchhiked around the west coast checking out different forestland and going to festivals. I realized that on the road is where my heart is and the magic that everyday brings while living for each moment rather then for the future is what truly means the most to me. So instead of classical education, I have found that learning from one another is the most wholesome way of functioning and this website does a great job of it.

My participation comes and goes. Im hoping to get more involved after a few years of no activity.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to some potlucks in Boise surfed in Mexico, hosted in Olympia and have met many a members in the traveling community!!!

rock climbing, swimming/water, hiking, soccer,ultimate Frisbee, philosophy, caves, people, friends, family, gardening/farming, yoga, meditation, foraging for food and making medicine from native species of plants. Aromatherapy is now my latest facination!

Hiked into a secluded lake where the water was the most amazing blue and was fresh from the melted snow there was a rope swing boulders and a zipline, underneath a hot August sun surrounded by the life of the mountains and the love of my friends. Summiting Mt Shasta. Exploring forgotten ruins. Skiing across frozen lakes...

I am a massage therapist, wild forager, plant medicine aficionado, fermented delights junkie,I like to tan hides of animals and I occasionally pursue the art of making jewelry and leather goods.
I am excited to learn more about all of this and other skills and knowledge.More specifically I am interested in wilderness survival techniques including tracking.
