Brand new to Couchsurfing but can get verified if you need me to. I thought I'd try it out first. I'm a quiet non-smoker, non-drinker who will take excellent care of your place. I have travelled extensively around the world. My next big trip is 5 weeks in Thailand, but I've been to most European countries, Peru, Venezuela, China, Tibet, Japan, Morocco, and India.

What's known as a sociable introvert, very friendly but needs daily alone time, my main interests are reading, travelling, and activity (hiking, swimming, cycling, yoga). I love cats and most (but not all) dogs.

I'm married to a wonderful man and I have two amazing young adult daughters. My husband often stays home when I travel, but he 100% supports my travel adventures. He sometimes goes with me, when the trip is sane. :)

I'm partly on it for myself, but I'm also on it for my two daughters, Anna and Natasha, who also love to travel, but who have low incomes. They are delightful travellers -- 25 and 21 years old -- and we've gone on many adventures.

I like most types of music, but prefer classical, jazz, and new age. My favourite music is baroque, especially Bach. My favourite writers are William Blake and Percy Bysshe Shelley. I read extensively, and my favourite novels are Victor Hugo's Les Miserables, Leo Tolstoy's Anna Karenina, and Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre. I prefer movies which aren't from Hollywood. I like foreign films and art house films.

I've snorkelled with a barracuda in Key West, and scuba dived with sharks in Bermuda. I've parasailed over Okanogan Lake, and I've gone winter camping in Southern Ontario. I've ridden a bicycle across Flanders and through the city of Jaipur. My daughter and I climbed five alpine peaks in the rain in the space of a day. These activities make me sound more adventurous than I am. Mostly, I stay at home with my cats and read books or listen to music. I'm a flexible vegetarian who likes to cook.
