Hello people of the Couchsurfing world! My name is Monika and I have been traveling for over two years now, hoping to finally settle down in the beautiful city of Vancouver. My boyfriend Mathias (from France), will be joining me so we are hoping to get started just by crashing on someones floor or sofa until we can lock us in with some jobs. We are not picky, we just need a place to lay our heads for two or three nights. In return, Mathias can cook our wonderful host a delicious meal and share a few beers! We are a tidy, clean, and respectful couple who are very familiar with Couchsurfing. We have hosted many backpackers back in our home in New Zealand, and have been hosted throughout Asia and Mexico. Mathias and I are very social and friendly and would love to meet a local who can share the in's and out's of what the city has to offer!

Theres no better way to get to know a city than through a local. Couchsurfing has connected me with many friends whom I still keep in touch with, and I hope to keep that social circle growing!

I am currently learning how to make my own jewelry (which is a work in progress... Slowly getting there!) However my love for books and painting will always be my number one. I also really enjoy yoga, hiking through the mountains, and photography.

Learning new languages is definitely #1 on my list. If a host knows some basics of a unique language, I would be more than willing to share my knowledge of Polish and teach you the basics as well! Mathias can teach you French if you are not familiar with it.

My amazing and delicious vegetarian dishes. Backpacking has taught me how to make a banging meal with limited resources, so with a short trip to the grocery store I can prepare you a feast like no other!
