About Me

-- Climate Change doesn't have borders - friendship and activism also don't! --

I am an outgoing, enthusiastic and sometimes a bit crazy person and really love travelling and getting to know other people's lifestyles and lifestories.

When travelling, I try not to feel like a tourist. I want to experience the country's culture and to integrate as much as possible. That's why, during all the years spent abroad (European Voluntary Service in France, studies in Germany, Erasmus in Lithuania), I did my best to not only work or study, but also to be active in society. In Lithuania, f.ex., I founded Fridays For Future Vilnius and thus helped to create a network of climate-aware people all over Europe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to get an insight in the local cultures and way of living and is suitable for cheap journeys all around the world. With my family, we've done a lot of home exchanging, so I got this idea of staying at other people's places basically from early childhood on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Together with some of my Lithuanian friends, I founded Fridays For Future Vilnius during my Erasmus year over there. Being active for climate justice was not only good for the climate and environment, but also helped me to integrate into Lithuanian society. It was a wonderful experience to see the progress of our group and events and to connect more and more with people from all over the globe. My personal motto now is: Climate Change doesn't have borders - friendship and activism also don't! Yes, we are unstoppable, another world is possible! :)
