About Me
The Dorkiest of Dorks, who loves gadgets and tech in all shapes & sizes 😅
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always liked travelling and meeting new people, even waay before I could travel on my own. I am very fond of hearing stories of people's lives from every single corner of the world. What's a better way to meet new interesting people than couchsurfing? :)
Interests
Since I do not live by myself, please make sure to send a corresponding couch request to my immediate roommate - Alicja, here's a link to her profile: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/alicja-stelmach-1
Please understand that we can only respond to requests that we both received :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music means the world to me, hence most of my salary goes straight to one of the following two: travelling or live music shows/festivals. 😅 I was lucky to experience live Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Florence and the Machine, Imagine Dragons, 30 seconds to Mars, Bastille, Martin Garrix (5 times already), Kings of Leon, Lana del Rey, Kasabian, X Ambassadors and Years & Years just to name a few. 😇
Most recent ones were Kodaline, Nothing But Thieves, Welshly Arms, Borns, Ed Sheeran, Anne -Marie, Sam Smith and Florence + the Machine (2nd time ever ♥♥♥) 😅
Best performances that I’ve seen so far were Imagine Dragons concerts in Poland, firstly in Łódź and secondly in Warsaw. I will never forget these, and I can tell you why 😍 actually - be careful, because I rather may not be able to shut up about it 🤗
And artists that I listen to all the time and can't get enough of are Snow Patrol, Florence and the Machine, The Fray, The XX, Ben Howard, Birdy, Bastille.
This may sound weird, but recently I’ve found myself listening to Polish folk music and local artists on a regular basis 😅🙈
At the same time I absolutely love EDM, and almost every night I dream about going to Tomorrowland again in the foreseeable future ;)
It seems impossible for me to just choose a favourite book.Or even one author. Among my favorites are Ayn Rand, Umberto Eco, .E. Schmidt and Jostein Gaarder.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For the last New Year's Eve I've hiked to spend the night in a cottage in France with no running water, electricity, Internet, reception, a bathroom or heating. Through 3 feet of snow and more than a mile uphill, we carried wood for the kiln, water, sleeping bags to sleep on the floor. and food for 10 people, just to spend the night with the breathtaking view onto the Alps, Mont Blanc and entire Geneva. it was such an amazing experience that we plan on coming back in summer ;)
I was a member of European Parliament in Strasbourg (France) for one day. We discussed current problems that the EU was facing at the times with peers from every single member country. It's amazing to see what others struggle with and to be able to get to know other points of view.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories about Europe, especially about Poland. I always valued greatly a good conversation, I hope my hosts will see value in exchanging experiences as well :) Also, I am a person who needs nothing more than a little space and a blanket. :)
