About Me
On the search for a bigger apartment - sharing currently which is why I cannot host at the moment.
Hello you :)
My name is Monique and I am 27 years old.
Actually I am a member since 2016 but I didn’t use couchsurfing that much (for no specific reason)... so basically I am new again..
now my boyfriend and me are traveling to Iceland and we are looking for open-hearted people that would let us stay with them.
About us: Monique (27) & John (25) ☺️
I work as a Project Manager for the development of wind farms in London. John still lives in Germany and is now looking for a job as a software engineer in London.
We are very open-minded, love to experience different cultures and we prefer being outside in the nature. We love going hiking, walking, explore things, talk about our beautiful earth.
We are both great in cooking and especially because we are vegan we just enjoy trying out new things. However, we don’t mind if someone has another opinion on this. 😊
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For us it is important to meet locals that can show us the real life over there and maybe have some secret spots or places to share. However, we are totally fine if you are not into hanging out. We just appreciate you being welcoming. 😊 We know we can go easily in hostels to meet new people but we would love if we could meet people who are living there and learn from you.

Music, Movies, and Books
Our number 1 artist was actually Taylor swift this year - haha
We love all kinds of music.
John is totally into movies and knows a lot about them.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed a skyscraper ruin in Bangkok Thailand and watched the sunset with an amazing view over Bangkok. I actually forgot that I have to go down when it is dark. Going up all these stairs was already kind of creepy because everything was broken and the people there say the building is haunted. So going down eventually was like a marathon haha because I was so scared
I went on a two days boattrip in Labuan Bajo (Flores, Indonesia) to see Komodo dragons but in the end it turned out to be one of the most amazing trips I have ever made. I saw dolphins, sharks, manta rays and turtles while snorkeling in the amazing clear water. Slept under the stars on the boat (small boat, no rooms) and woke up with a beautiful sunrise and dolphins around the boat. But the best of it was a little hike on a small islands which just blew me away. On top of the island you could see three different beaches. One of them was a white sand beach, one was black sand and one was pink sand and that looked so unreal. I could not believe it so I stayed there a few hours just watching the panorama.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We have already travelled a few places and can share beautiful stories from that places & recommendations.
We could also teach you some german :)
