About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be a humble and inspiring person,
by improving my people skill,
by meeting various people,
by travelling.
ABOUT ME
Hi! I am Monitta, 25 years old, a 9-5 governmental staff from Indonesia. Due to my job, I have to travel and meet a lot of officials around Indonesia, which is a good thing for me. However, I also realize, the experience would be so much different when I was travelling alone and meet locals instead. I believe the essence of travelling is to enrich our knowledge through a genuine conversation with locals, aside of the panoramic instagrammable spots on that place. That is the reason which brings me to couchsurfing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I admit that starting a travelling plan in a new destination would be terrifying sometimes.
I am an extrovert. Personally, spending a long time without having someone to share my thoughts would be a nightmare.
Which is why I'm on Couchsurfing.
I love how the communities in couchsurfing are helping each other for mutual benefit, and how a "hello" from a stranger leads to a window to see a new world, and hopefully it can reduce my anxiety to start my journey.
Including to say hi to you, strangers!
Interests
I do interest to talk with anyone about their life. I believe that we have our own unique stories that could enrich each other when it was shared.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC
I am a big fan of folk music! Especially when it has an uncommon instruments and deep lyrics.
Nevertheless, I also love emo music from My Chemical Romance, and punk rock music from Avril Lavigne.
MOVIES
For animation, Disney and Nickleodeon has been my favorite.
For television, nothing beats Asian Food Channel and Master Chef show, even though I also watch Glee, Ellen Degeneres Show and Scandal.
For youtube channel, I watch Geography Now! regularly, even though I have to repeat the same country over again.
Finally, for movie, I am on Marvel side, and middle earth zone. Thus, Pirates of Carribean never fails to make me want to be a pirate someday.
BOOKS
Beware, I love to read comics and children's book.
In addition for growing my appetite to other people's experiences, Chicken soup for the soul always be my favorite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2016, I become a leader of a youth leadership and homestay group from Indonesia in Japan for three weeks. We are six youth, selected from a plethora of other applicants to having an unforgetable experience for being part of a family and doing internship in Japan. I learned about how local lives and blend with them.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to cook Indonesia's food, like Soto and Nasi Goreng. Also, I can teach you how to draw with pencil and water color. In terms of learning, I want to know how you do your daily life and how you speak your mother language.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share you a cup of tea or coffe from Indonesia.
I swear I only choose the best quality for you #blink
Then, we can sit down and I can share some experience about my country and what I've learned so far for my life.
