About Me
ABOUT ME
I just moved to Jena because I started my PhD here at the biochemistry dept. of the medical faculty. For my studies I spent 6 years in Leipzig but originally I am from the beautiful Taunus just out of Frankfurt!
In 2008 i spent a year in New Zealand with a friend of mine traveling around this gorgeous country. It was the best time of my life. It was such a great experience and i felt in love with this country and the people. Thats why I came back to do an Internship at the Uni of Auckland in 2013. Back in Leipzig in finished my studies and I am here in Jena doing really fascinating science :)
PHILOSOPHY
Travel, travel, travel....
It's the best way to spend money. I got addicted after the year in NZ.
I have also learnt that the most important thing in life is to enjoy it, have fun and only do the stuff you want to do. Do it because you like it not because its expected from you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couchsurfing is a great oportunity to meet locals. It's just the best way to explore a new country and get to know it's inhabitants and find the secret spots.
In Auckland I went to the weekly drinks and met awesome people from all over the world. Back home I plan to get more active and finally also host people at my place.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The first Couchsurfing experience I made in Maroc with my boyfriend. It was a good time even if we didn't speak the same language but we "talked" with hands an feet. It was a great trip and i realy like the idea of couchsurfing.
Interests
I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, new culture and new lansdscapes. After the year in NZ i got addicted to explore new countries.
My other interessts are art, i enjoy being creative and I used to play the flute. But i got a 'bit out of practice. I am really interested in nurtition. A few months ago I started fermenting veggies- but don't be deterred, I will keep it for myself and I might tell you about it only if you are interessted :)
